I guess no matter what country you live in the "service" is all the same. We waited for the internet guy while a very helpful woman in the embassy tried to find him and light afire under him to no avail. Sidenote- please ignore grammar and spelling as this blackberry is a pain in the butt! Anyway, no internet so the embassy is calling a new provider on Monday.
On to more intersting things... Today I went to this HUGE market that, sorry to compare, blew away the one a friend went to today although it is an interesting parrallel in our lives. Wait 'til I get internet can can post photos. All so fresh and CHEAP! Contrary to what you might assume food in the grocery here is EXPENSIVE and not so fresh. One pepper is $2 but at the market I got 8, yes eight, for $2! Also beets, potatoes, onions, leeks, carrotts, tomatoes for $6. I could go on. Culturally it was "interesting" tosay the least.
Later in the day we went to a street festival honoring the policia. Soooo fun! Great Colombian music and cuisine and lot's for the kids, clowns, balloons, playgrounds, chocolate and cotton candy. I think you all should come visit. Wait 'til you see the photos!
All for now this blackberry is a PITA!
